Thou preparest a table before me… April 10, 2008Posted by eric22222 in General, Pictures.

We’ve got a plan for our apartment. It’s been in the works for a while now, and we’ve just completed the next phase in operation doesn’t-have-a-name. The other night, we went to Home Depot to get supplies for our project: a new table. Don’t get me wrong, our old table was fine, but a bit small. For this plan to work, we’d need a big table, and it would need our custom touch. We decided to build the table from disassembled parts of the old one, cutting out a lot of work. We ended up only buying a handful of materials, which didn’t take long to cut. Using the architecture building’s wood shop, we had it done in no time.
Last night, we added the finishing touch: a border. The edge was unfinished particle board: a bit rough compared to the melamine top. So, we devised a clever way to give our table a smooth finish and a bit of humor.
The border is covered with verses taken out of context, each with “table” in it.
You sat on an elegant couch, with a table spread before it. ~Ezekiel 23:41
At my table you will eat your fill. ~Ezekiel 39:20
Mephibosheth will always eat at my table. ~2 Samuel 9:10
