Fall 08 classes August 24, 2008

I think this should be an interesting semester. I’ve got four classes, some more interesting than others:

Biologically Inspired Computation wins the award for having the coolest sounding title. It’s about systems and machines designed after things found in nature. Think about the swarm intelligence of ants or other insects and you aren’t far off.

Medieval Studies may have some cool things to learn, but the greatest challenge for it will be staying awake in class. I’m just lucky there are at least one hundred students in that one.

I also have two Math classes. I used italics on the word “math” because I can’t really make it more interesting. One is matrix algebra, and the other is introduction to abstract mathematics.

With any luck, I’ll have another update here sometime later this week.
